1952  Founded Bureau des Copyrights Francais – BCF, in Tokyo.

1958  BCF contracted with SPADEM, France, and started the copyright management works together with the foreign societies represented by the SPADEM.

1992  Societe Pour la Protection des Droits Artistiques – SPDA, was founded, and copyright management for artistic works has been succeeded from BCF to SPDA.

2002  SPDA got the status of Intermediary Corporation by the change of the law.

2009  SPDA got the status of General Incorporated Foundation.

2009  SPDA was registered as the copyright management organization by the Japanese Agency of Culture with the number of 02017.

2012  Japanese Society for Protecting Artists’ Rights – JASPAR was founded, and registered by the Japanese Agency of Culture with the number of 12001.
